  • Oregon Golf Club Open House!

Come join us at the Oregon Golf Club Open house! This is a great opportunity to meet some vendors, get wedding inspo and see a beautiful venue. Unlike most wedding “shows” admittance is free and open to everyone. Also unlike most other wedding shows the aura at this Open House is calm and fun and lacking that frenetic pushy feeling that can be seriously overwhelming. We hope to see you there!

  • Sentinel Hotel Wedding with Bryan Rupp Photography!

Brooke and Tom were married last June in downtown Portland’s First Presbyterian church and celebrated immediately after at neighboring Sentinel Hotel. Peonies, hydrangea, roses, ranunculus and jasmine ruled the day and kept the romantic, classic theme alive!

  • Storybook Woodland Wedding

Last Spring we had the privilege of providing flowers for a very special event. Located at a private residence tucked away in the forests outside of Portland our client’s wanted their wedding celebration to be reminiscent of the settings in their favorite fables and childhood stories. A village of heavily timbered structures was constructed and guests were taken on a journey through different settings filled with candles, ferns, moss, incense, towering oaks and fire pits. As florists I felt our job was to add the delicate whimsy and color from the lighter side of those stories as well as to infuse the early Spring season. Garlands were strung through the trees above guests heads, thousands of stems of jasmine vine scented the air, natural beeswax candles were clustered on tables and tucked in rocky hillsides, masses of delicate spring blooms hung overhead dining tables and hundreds of helleborus, ferns, and hyacinth nodded alongside pathways weaving through the woods. Here are a few highlights from one of the most challenging, inspiring and creatively fulfilling weeks of my life.

  • Waverly Country Club Wedding with Amanda K! Part 2!

Ann and Rob’s wedding ceremony was moved indoors to the ballroom of the country club at the last moment to avoid fleeting rain showers. Not a bad move when you have such a lovely space available! A classic arch dripped with delicate sweet autumn clematis while roses, dahlias and hydrangea added color and texture.

  • Waverly Country Club Wedding with Amanda K Photography! Part 1!

Ann and Rob held their wedding this autumn and the beautiful Waverly Country Club in SE Portland. I was so, so excited about their vibrant color scheme of vivid reds mixed with blush, burgundy, green, cream and taupe and I absolutely LOVE how those same colors shine in this beautiful photos by Amanda. Lacecap hydrangea, sweet autumn clematis, garden roses, smilax, and dahlias added a very seasonal feel to the blooms. Congratulations to a couple who are as gracious on the inside as they are gorgeous on the outside!

  • Blum Sock Drive!

pdx0515-socksOur annual holiday sock drive is happening now and will run until January 8th.  This is the fourth year that we’ve held the drive and I’m so excited to be partnering with Bridal Bliss to expand our reach! The last three seasons we’ve collected over 1500 pairs of socks which we’ve donated to the Portland Rescue Mission.  The mission is located just a few blocks from our studio in Old Town Portland and I’ve been so impressed with the work and services they provide our homeless neighbors.

WOW!! Thank you so much to everyone who donated! With your help we were able to donate 1158 pairs of sucks (plus an assortment of blankets, hats, diapers and other goodies) to the Portland Rescue Mission. Your generosity has been both heartwarming and overwhelming. Thank you.

  • NYE Wedding!

I LOVE a New Years Eve Wedding!  Over the years we’ve had more years with them than without them and so decorating for these celebrations has become as much a holiday tradition as decorating my own home.  A year ago we helped in the celebration of Carly and Lee’s wedding at Leftbank Annex.  We contrasted the hard edges of the venue by incorporating loads of greenery (hanging and tabletop!) and candles.  Balloons, confetti and champagne kept the holiday theme alive!

  • Ecotrust Wedding with Yasmin Khajavi

www.ykvision.comTed and Chris were married on a fall weekend at the Ecotrust building in the Pearl District.  We kept the wedding flowers classic and romantic by using seasonal blooms like dahlias and zinnias in a soft color palette.  One of my favorite details were the hoops at the ceremony backdrop that were later echoed by the mini wreath escort cards.  Lots of candles and lanterns kept the space warm on an otherwise chilly October day.

  • Castaway Wedding with Yasmin Khajavi!

    www.ykvision.com

Maren and Pat were married on a typically misty, cool March day in Portland. Cherry blossoms, roses, candlelight, accents of steel blue, blush, cream and green, and the scent of fresh jasmine flowers lent the day a wonderfully intimate and cozy feel.  The wedding party got ready at the Sentinel Hotel before heading to the Japanese memorial on the waterfront to capture the stunning (and short season) of the blooming cherry trees.  The ceremony and reception took place in the light filled industrial space at Castaway in NW Portland.   Congratulations Maren and Pat!  Thank you so much for letting us be a part of your day!

And thank you so, so much to Yasmin Khajavi for capturing it all and sharing these gorgeous images with us!
